From August 17 to 23, 2018, Bishop Myeongho Cheong, President of United Holiness Church of Jesus
Christ, Africa led seminars in Uvira, Bukavu, and Goma in DR Congo (photo #1).
On 17 and 18, the seminar was held for church leaders in Uvira El-Shaddai Church (photo #4). Bishop
Cheong delivered the message based on Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's sermons "Spiritual Love"
and "The Measure of Faith." After being greatly touched by the messages, Pastor Alembe said, "In this
seminar, I learned things that can unite our church in God's love, the Word of God, and prayer. I
appreciate it."
On Sunday, August 19, Dr. Cheong preached the message in the 10th anniversary service of El-Shaddai
Church in the morning and led the handkerchief prayer meeting in the afternoon (photo #8). The meeting
was held at the center of Uvira city with approximately 1,000 people in attendance. He preached about
the love of the Lord's cross and spiritual love. More than a hundred people accepted Jesus Christ as
their Savior.
After the sermon, he prayed for the sick with the handkerchief on which Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed
(Acts 19:11-12). Many people were healed of their diseases and gave testimonies. Brother Muandangu
Shivichabo had been unable to move his neck and could not hear during the previous three months
since his neck bone had been dislocated, but after the prayer, he was healed. Brother Raphael Katembo
could not hear for five years and he walked with a limp, but he came to hear and move his legs freely
after the prayer.
From August 21 to 23, Dr. Cheong led the seminars as courses of Manmin International Seminary in
Tente d'Assignation Church in Bukavu and CEPAC Church in Goma (photos #2, 3, 5, 6, and 7). The
seminary students in attendance were bishops and pastors. Dr. Cheong gave lectures under the
titles "Spiritual Love" and "The Measure of Faith."
Pastor Shukuru Kamiete said, "As a pastor who delivers the Word of God, I was blessed so much
through the message because Dr. Cheong taught us to understand with correct spiritual meanings of the
passages. While I worked as a police manager I read Dr. Jaerock Lee's book The Measure of Faith and
realized the heart and will of God. After that, I chose to be a pastor and have served God since."
The seminars for MIS Africa have been conducted in major cities of Kenya and two cities of Uganda as
well as DR Congo with Dr. Lee's sermons "The Message of the Cross," "The Measure of Faith,"
and "Spirit, Soul, and Body" as major topics.
